Leila Chirayath Janah, Founder and CEO : Leila first developed the idea behind Samasource while working as a management consultant at Katzenbach Partners (now Booz & Co.), where her clients included global leaders in the outsourcing and telecom sectors and a number of prominent non-profits. Along with Professors Thomas Pogge and Aidan Hollis, she founded Incentives for Global Health and helped produce a plan for incentivizing the development of new drugs for neglected diseases. As an undergraduate, Leila authored background papers for the World Bank's Development Research Group and Ashoka on equity and social rights. Leila is a recipient of the Rainer Arnhold and TEDIndia Fellowships, and serves on the San Francisco board of the Social Enterprise Institute. She is a former Visiting Scholar at the Stanford Program on Global Justice and the Center for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics at Australian National University. When she's not running Samasource, Leila blogs on Social Edge and tries to keep up with her Twitter account. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University.

Noah Bradach, Vice President of Sales : After 10 successful years of proven sales experience and business development within the IT industry, Noah joins the Samasource team as their new VP of Sales. With experience spanning from Chicago to San Francisco his formula for success in building long lasting relationships has always been delivering on high expectations while keeping client business needs in focus. Not only will Noah exceed your expectations in developing insightful needs based solutions, but he is excited to help make the world a better place at the same time. Noah received his BS in Business Management at Purdue University

Eric Nguyen, Vice President of Product : Eric has been building products for the web for over ten years, ever since the business plan competitions of his undergraduate years. Since then, he has helped grow five start ups in the Bay Area. These include Merced Systems (enterprise software for call centers) and Instructables.com (fun, user-generated content). At the same time, Eric has always been a part-time social entrepreneur. Squeezed into sabbaticals, nights, and weekends, he has used his technology experience to address social inequities that he sees in the world. He has developed records management systems for a hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo and a school in Vietnam, and has helped several non-profits maintain an online presence. He joined Samasource to help achieve its major goal: to bring digital work and skills to the next billion. Eric received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.

David Yoon, Vice President of Engineering : David is responsible for directing and implementing technology projects at Samasource. David brings over 10 years of development experience to the team. Prior to Samasource, David was a technical lead at Alexander Interactive, where he worked on projects ranging from building the next social network to developing enterprise e-commerce systems. David got hooked on using technology for social good while working on the Donorschoose.org platform. In 2009, he founded Idealistech.org and worked with several social enterprises in Brazil. Outside of the office, David enjoys traveling, climbing and playing violin. David earned a degree in computer engineering from McGill University.

Chelsea Seale, Director of Operations : Chelsea joins Samasource after a career in financial services at Goldman Sachs and more recently at Amber Capital, a New York-based hedge fund. Through involvement with Orphans of Rwanda she witnessed firsthand the great potential in the youth of this region when they were given an opportunity to succeed. Having been involved and impressed with Samasource in a volunteer capacity, Chelsea was keen to participate more directly. No stranger to high-octane work environments, she aims to ensure the procedural efficiency of this ambitious organization. New to California, she has enjoyed her first break from the brutal New England winters. Chelsea holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University.

Caitlin Blodget, Business Analyst : Caitlin joined Samasource in the spring of 2010 after spending 2.5 years as a Senior Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates, a global investment consulting firm. At Cambridge Associates, Caitlin worked with a variety of endowed nonprofit institutions with over $4 billion in aggregate assets and specialized in Mission Related Investments as well as Venture Capital and Private Equity portfolios. Caitlin has also spent time in Africa working in rural medical clinics where she focused on AIDS education and maternal health. Caitlin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colby College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in English. When she’s not working Caitlin enjoys traveling, particularly to developing countries.

Luke Palder, Sales and Accounts Specialist : Luke graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in political science, during which he also studied at Peking University and Cambridge University. At Yale, he studied counter modern slavery strategies and conducted fieldwork on sex slavery in Bulgaria and India, culminating in the first draft of a nonfiction book. While in college, he founded two Internet startups, one that created a new type of online polling software and one that traded a variety of digital assets. Luke was first bitten by the “Give Work” bug in high school while interning in Washington, D.C., for four Members of Congress. Between two summers on Capitol Hill, he founded Educate-Enable-Employ, an organization that shipped thousands of surplus books from the Library of Congress to homeless shelters across the United States using Members of Congress’ free shipping privileges. An avid cyclist and pilot, Luke biked across the United States in support of Habitat for Humanity in 2006 and received his private pilot’s license before his driver’s.

Rebecca Miller, Chief of Staff : Rebecca E. Miller brings to Samasource the experience of managing executives at the core level of both for-profit and non-profit companies. As an undergraduate at the University of San Francisco, Rebecca majored in English and Environmental Studies and helped to represent the St. Ignatius Institute, the University’s Great Books program. After graduation she worked for the environmental non-profit Rainforest2Reef, where she participated in tracking jaguars in the Selva Maya Rainforest of Mexico and worked with environmental leaders Dr. Gerardo Ceballos and Cheri Sugal. She is currently an active member of the Commonwealth Club’s Inforum, the San Francisco Symphony’s Symphonix and SPUR’s Young Urbanists. She also participates as a mentor with BetterGrads. When she’s not engaged with activities surrounding these organizations, Rebecca enjoys yoga and fly-fishing.
